Specialized Training on the Design of Rural Solar-Powered Water Supply Systems to International NGOs in Herat and Kandahar

Mercy Corps Afghanistan entered into a service contract with Shatoot Consultants to deliver specialized design training services under the USAID/BHA-funded program “Lifesaving integrated emergency response to vulnerable crisis-affected populations in Afghanistan.” The assignment supported Mercy Corps’ broader humanitarian and development efforts in Herat, Kandahar, and Balkh provinces, focusing on agriculture, food security, renewable energy, natural resource management, and job creation. Shatoot Consultants was tasked with providing technical expertise, training, and capacity-building to strengthen community resilience and ensure effective implementation of program activities.
